Day 1 : Arrival in San Jose

Arrive by air into San Jose. A representative from Costa Rican Trails will meet you at the airport and provide transfer to Hotel for first two nights in Costa Rica.

Day 2 : Poas Volcano (B)

As we ascend towards the volcano we stop for a brief explanation on our golden bean, coffee, and then continue our trip through fern, flower and strawberry farms.

At the Poas Volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, and hike on a trail to the beautiful Botos Lagoon. After visiting the volcano, we will have time to enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the typical restaurants of the area.

Late afternoon enjoy one hour Healing Herbs Jacuzzi, an infusion of freshly cut herbs added to your Jacuzzi enhances relaxation. Benefits circulation and the respiratory system.

Day 3 : Tortuguero (B, L, D)

Early morning pick up for the drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park to the canals lining the Atlantic Coast, where the two-hour boat trip to Tortuguero starts. A typical breakfast is served on the way. Tortuguero National Park, with its 21,000 hectares of preserved tropical rain forest, provides one of the best opportunities to experience a wide range of tropical wildlife.

Morning and afternoon boat trips through the canals of Tortuguero. (optional tours)

Day 5 : Tortuguero- Puerto Viejo

AAfter breakfast, return to the docks, where your private driver will meet you and take you to Le Caméléon Boutique Resort, located on Costa Rica’s Caribbean side.

This area offers abundant wildlife, pristine rain forest and plenty of activities for the adventurous. The two charming villages of Puerto Viejo and Cahuita start to live on reggae rhythms at sunset with an authentic Afro-Caribbean atmosphere. Visitors will find lots to do in the area, beginning with sunbathing and swimming along the miles of white, sand and coral beaches.

Day 6 : & 7 - Puerto Viejo (B)

Free days to explore this area thats full of life. You can go to Manzanillo Reserve, downtown Puerto Viejo, Cahuita National Park. Many possibilities around! Please be sure to explore the areas fine dining.

Day 8 : San Jose (B)

Our representative will pick you up at the hotel and take you back to San Jose

Day 9 : Departure (B)
