Day 1 : Arrival – San Jose

Arrival. A representative from Costa Rican Trails will meet you at the airport and provide transfer to Grano de Oro Hotel for your first night in Costa Rica.

Day 2 : San Jose – San Gerardo de Dota

After breakfast, A 4x4 vehicle will be dropped off at the hotel and then you are off to explore Costa Rica on your own.

Your first stop will be San Gerardo, recently become a must place to visit for those birwatchers aiming to spot the Resplendent Quetzal. Located near Cerro de la Muerte, at an altitude of 7000 ft above sea level, surrounded by the unspoiled flora of the area.

Upon arrival start your adventure by Hiking Birdsong Trail. This hike goes through secondary forest that a few years ago was cattle pasture. It has its own specific vegetation typical of a regenerating forest and you can find wild fruit species such as blackberries (some edible), colorful flowering plants much preferred by hummingbirds and insects, Aguacatillotrees (the quetzal’s main food) and many other tree species.

Late afternoon enjoy a Couple Massage, the ideal way to get rid of daily stress and share a unique spa experience in the same room with your loved one.

Day 3 : Waterfall Tour (B)

This outing takes you along a trail leading to the dramatic Savegre River waterfalls.Charming views and colorful birds surround you as you walk along the river bank. It takes about an hour to reach the bridge where the first waterfall is found and crossing it, you reach the “cave”, a huge rock carefully placed by nature’s hand thousands of years ago.You then continue to the second waterfall with its imposing 30-meter (98-foot) falls.Now it is time to return to the hotel and enjoy going over everything you have seen along the way

Day 4 : Uvita (B)

Continue your trip to the Central Pacific part of the Country, to Uvita, where crystal clear ocean water joins with lush vegetation to create a breathtaking environment. You will stay at Oxigen Villas, a small scale, exclusive boutique resort hotel where you will spend 3 unforgettable nights with your loved one.

Day 5 : -06 Uvita (B)

Free days to relax at pool, Spa or enjoy any of tours available in the area.

Day 7 : San Jose

Drive back to San José. This evening, we suggest you enjoy a romantic dinner at the hotels restaurant, which features Costa Rican tropical with European cuisine under the expertise of our French chef Francis Canal. This restaurant has evolved into one of San Jose’s finest dining establishments.
